Well, I generally see give-aways on blogs and think I'll never win it, so why bother.  But, this time I commented to congratulate Alyssa on the number of subscribers and I actually won something!  Well, thank you to Alyssa from Live. Love. Craft and also to Kasey from The Beautiful Thrifty Life for this Butterscotch Flower Hair Clip with Pearl from Kasey's Etsy Shop:

It's cute and I love it! Oh, and free stuff rocks!

Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens in Pittsburgh, PA

My family and I went on a road trip to Penn State over the past long weekend.  I took a lot of  pictures at Phipps.  So you'll be seeing a lot of "flower" posts (more than usual).

Addendum: Recently, a friend informed me that although the above quote is generally attributed to Gandhi, it was originally written by an unknown Roman philosopher. In Latin it is:  "Disce quasi semper victurus vive quasi cras moriturus." But, let's face it, Gandhi exemplified it better than anyone else.
