"A horse is the projection of peoples' dreams about themselves - strong, powerful, beautiful - and it has the capability of giving us escape from our mundane existence."  ~Pam Brown

I was lucky to have captured these beautiful horses grazing in Indiana one summer afternoon.  Now, I'm just wishing I was there again...

My Orchid

My orchid is in between blooms...good thing I took plenty of pictures of it when it was in bloom so that I can enjoy them now.

Winter Time?

So, in my recent post...I declared the coming of spring...and mentioned the first day of spring to be March 20th.  Of course, when living in Canada...one should wait a little while longer before making such claims about the weather... These pictures were taken just now...Welcome to my country!

My daisies are starting to wilt at the news as well...

Spring Time

The Field Daisy
by Ann Taylor

I'm a pretty little thing,
Always coming with the spring;
In the meadows green I'm found,
Peeping just above the ground,
And my stalk is cover'd flat
With a white and yellow hat.

Little Mary, when you pass
Lightly o'er the tender grass,
Skip about, but do not tread
On my bright but lowly head,
For I always seem to say,
"Surely winter's gone away."

My daisies aren't the white variety but the poem fits nonetheless...

Daylight savings begins on March 13th.

Remember: Spring forward an hour in the spring...and fall back an hour in the fall.

The first day of spring is on March 20th.
